Washington D.C. along with nearby Virginia and Maryland are holding their presidential primaries today; a trio of contests that have been dubbed the "Potomac Primary" and have gained importance in the tight Democratic race.
XM's POTUS '08 (ch 130) will be broadcasting from a local landmark called Ben's Chili Bowl, a 50-year-old D.C. diner, to interview D.C. politicos and journalists.
The humble establishment is about a mile from XM's headquarters, and so you should expect some good "spotted" photos coming later today. In the meantime, tune in to POTUS to follow the up-to-the-minute Potomac Primary action.

You can't spell Barack Obama wifout BO
Ben's Chili Bowl!!!! What a great idea. Kudos to whoever came up with that.
The channel is live from Ben's right now. You can hear the grill in the background. Pretty cool.
I just don't understand the crush on Barack Obama. For all his talk about "change" he never really SAYS ANYTHING.
A great speaker, I'll give him that... but our leader? God, I hope not.
This is the problem with politics today, nobody goes out of their way to actually learn about candidates. If you read a paper or even just go online and browse you can find all sorts of stuff about Obama or Clinton or McCain's plans for the country. People expect 30 second soundbytes and CNN to tell them what every candidate is about but there is not enough time for that in a commercial and the cable news channels are more worried about who said what about who. Check out the news hour some time and you will see all sorts of real news coverage on the candidates or just go to the websites and click on the 'issues' button and read up.
that being said, i still have not made it to Ben's but I would love to drop by today and check this out.
I did as MarkS said and went through the trouble of researching Obama and his stance on the issues.
Now I really hate him.
