Historically, Sirius announces their earnings call date/timing after XM does, so we can fully expect one to come across the wires shortly.

It will just give time for Sirius to fix the numbers, I dont know why both of the companies could just count subs the same way?

XMfan, There is nothing wrong with the way sirius counts its subscribers. where the problem lies is when ramp rates are compared. Sirius does hide some information like Gross Retail or OEM and Churn for Retail or OEM sometimes they report these numbers.. sometimes they don't.

Sirius has enjoyed a premium PPS due to its ramp rate in comparison to XM's And unwarrented premium.

have a feeling there is good news in this quarters numbers as they seem to be holding the call rather quickly after the 3rd Q ended, no??

Yeah, there's nothing wrong with the way Sirius does it, it's not illegal. It is misleading and inaccurate. They count unsold cars as subs. Argue all you want that the car company is paying the sub, fact is it is a trial sub and one that no one is using.

pssst. remember "sirius internet radio"?
maybe one of the analysts should ask how dismal the churn numbers are for that pos product.

sirius just announced for Oct. 30th

Yep, got it posted right here.

It saddens me that these two companies still cat-and-mouse their earnings calls.

Grow up guys.

well at least next year sirius will get to go first ..........lol

and ryans work load should drop by half.....

I wonder whom mel and parsons plan to buy next with another merger of equals....

You sir just won post of the day.

Yes Sirius counts new cars taht are being paid by the dealer........ And XM now counts used cars...Go figure.

Hey "freak" I never said I liked the way Sirius counts their OEM subscribers. As for Joe Workman... WTF are you talking about? Do you mean the 3 months on a Used Honda? where its a re activated XM head unit and there is a driver?

Yes you did.

"XMfan, There is nothing wrong with the way sirius counts its subscribers."

If you didn't like the way they do it you would indeed find something wrong with it. They inflate their numbers to look like less of a failure. Fact is they are still about 2 - 2 1/2 mill behind XM, same as they were pre-stern.
