Yep, I was wrong...
Chalk it up to "wishful thinking" or a somewhat less-than educated guess. Either way, my prediction was obviously wrong. Instead, the DOJ chose to announce that it won't appeal the Stolt-Nielson dismissal. Ho hum.
Who wants to take a guess as to when the DOJ decision will be reached? Because your guess is as good as mine.

Ryan - You are not alone. From what I have read everybody who has followed this from the analysts to the press to the blogs to the message boards have been wrong. The amount of rumors has actually been quite unbelievable.

Yes, I'm in for 12-28, however I think it will be announced between 2:00 and 4:00pm. The very last minute decision of the year!

Ryan, technically you may not be wrong. Maybe they made their decision on Friday but won't announce it until Wednesday morning. So that's my prediction...Decision made 12/21..announced 12/26

The merger announcement will happen when we least expect it! LOL

Maybe they did not want to make it look like they had a leak? My guess is monday or friday.

I've long since given up. I predicted twice and have been wrong twice. Never again...

Ok -- my guess: DOJ, Thursday July 24th, AH. FCC, the following Friday.

I dont think the DOJ has anything to worry about regarding leaks---Thats been proven as NO ONE has a clue whats going to happen and when

The decision will most likely take place sometime in January. The federal government is closed down until after the new year. So, unless the maintenance staff or a security guard in Washington is going to do the honors, I doubt anyone will be coming in on their holiday to put a halt to this roller coaster nonsense.
