Sirius Stiletto 2 Review - Orbitcast
Pros: The Stiletto 2 is getting a little long in the tooth, but remains as Sirius' best radio to date (it's definitely a fan-favorite, and one of Orbitcast's favorites!); You can't beat the Stiletto 2's beautiful interface, sleek design; It automatically saves music for future listening; The only portable Sirius radio available (though antenna headphones recommended); Did we mention it has WiFi for listening at the home or office?

Cons: Portable on-the-go reception isn't all that great unless you're in a city with a strong terrestrial signal; Headphone jack is on the bottom (why?); You may end up forgetting about your MP3 player all together and just use the Stiletto 2 (that's actually a Pro)

Sirius Stiletto 2

Stiletto 2 Overview

The Sirius Stiletto 2 has been around for a couple years now, but it's still a very versatile and capable satellite radio. In fact, the Stiletto 2 remains as Orbitcast's favorite Sirius radio. And until Sirius comes out with something better, the Stiletto 2 will remain as our top choice for a Sirius satellite radio.

There's one thing you definitely need to keep in mind when buying the Stiletto 2: the "on-the-go" technology doesn't work nearly as most people expect it to.

Radio Comparison

There's almost no other radio to compare the Sirius Stiletto 2 - it remains unique in Sirius' receiver line-up when it comes to portable satellite radios. If you haven't picked Sirius or XM yet, you may want to check out the XMP3 which is XM's portable unit. If you like Sirius and being portable isn't as important to you, you might want to check out the Sirius Sportster 5 dock and play radio. It doesn't have as many features, but also comes at a lower price.

UPDATE: Word has it that the Stiletto 2 is being discontinued. We haven't confirmed this with Sirius XM, but all the signs are pointing in that direction. If you're in the market for a Stiletto 2, my advice is to act soon.

The thing I love most about this radio is the wi-fi capability - it has a good antenna and associates with wireless access points quickly. It also does a very nice job of remembering previously-accessed WAPs.
The display is beautiful and the menus are easy to navigate.
The only drawback, and this is minor, is that the unit can be a little difficult to remove from the home dock.

The stilletto 2 would be great if the software would not crash and lose all of the recorded data. A big problem that seems to get worse as the device ages. Why do you think they are discontinuing such a potentially great product? Anyway it is currently a P.O.S. so avoid it.
